This course is an online self-paced format with a synchronous live session component for each topic. A schedule is provided to help you stay on track and complete the course by the end of July, a fast pace for this much material.  As faculty work through each section, they will develop or revise and build content for a course they plan to teach entirely online or in a hybrid format.  Live class sessions in Zoom run every week on Mondays at 7:30 pm EDT. Recordings of the live sessions are available shortly after the event.  Within the live sessions, we will demonstrate and use different technologies that support online instruction and work with the assignments for the week.

You can follow the sequence or bypass any content you know. However, it is essential though to have the significant design components to move forward, as listed in the following concept map for ID-201-1. Design a new course, take an existing seated course and add online elements or make it entirely online. Course design is hard work as you know. Create a design book using a large three-ring binder with all your concepts, notes, and content as you go through the course. It may just become a book someday.
